Xycons modules are protected by IonCube®!

To protect the development work and the time invested, all Xycons modules are protected by IonCube®. Central and module operation necessary routines are outsourced into protected files; the majority of the remaining files are freely accessible as usual.

On professional web hosting, IonCube® is usually available automatically or can be easily activated.

Therefore, please ask your hoster if IonCube® is activated and available. If not, ask them to activate the IonCube extension BEFORE you install our modules or their trial versions.

Customers at the hosters "all-inkl", "ESTUGO", "publicompserver" as well as our hosting customers basically have full support for IonCube® on their web accounts and servers; here the necessary and newer versions are reliably preinstalled and ready for use.

Do I already have support through the server extension "IonCube®"?
Call up the "Server Info" item under the "TOOLBOX" section in your Gambio shop and look for the text "IonCube" on the page that opens. If IonCube® is already installed, you can see this by the following or a similar display – depending on the version:

For the modules and the module framework in shop version 4.8.x.x or higher, you need IonCube® version IonCube 14.x or higher and PHP 8.1 or 8.2,
Recommended is IonCube 14.x (latest version) together with the latest possible PHP versions.

The modules cannot be used before at least the aforementioned version is present and available in all directories of the shop.
The integration of the server extension is usually done directly by the hoster on your server and web account.

The IonCube extension is easily activatable at professional hosters; customers of ESTUGO, all-inkl and Xycons always have the latest version available and it is also activated.
At DomainFactory and Host Europe, the extension can be relatively easily activated via support.

Significant hurdles are to be expected for customers of Strato and 1und1. IonCube is "installed" quite rudimentarily at these "professional" hosters via an additional "php.ini" file and integrated via SSH. Basically, a "comprehensive" supply (in all directories) with IonCube is absolutely necessary. At Strato and 1und1, customers are expected to manually copy the php.ini file into every directory and activate IonCube via SSH themselves.
