Goodies
Make life easier with our "Goodies"
The module framework (module environment), which is delivered with every module and must be present once, provides central routines for all Xycons modules. Many modules use the same or similar processes, such as reading certain records from the database, preparing data for a selection list, etc.
The module environment provides usable functions for the modules here, so that these do not have to be programmed and present in every module each time.
This function of the module environment allows us to provide you with free "Goodies". Functions or modifications that you only need to activate to use; the necessary code for this has been implemented directly in the module environment.
Below we have listed and briefly described these available "Goodies". You can always activate and, if necessary, configure these functions via the central setup of the module environment in the menu "Xycons-Module" ► "Customer Account/Setups". To have all functions available, it is recommended to install any available updates for the module environment and always keep it up to date.
Consent Permanent Access
(Available in module environment 3.14 to 4.4 and from 4.6)
This free "Goodie" included in our module environment allows the permanent display of a quick access icon to the consent tool of the Gambio shop. So you do not necessarily have to integrate the link in your own footer, where it is hardly found.
New Article Tool
(Available in module environment 3.14 to 4.4 and from 4.6)
This free "Goodie" included in our module environment activates an input option for the setting date in the article master, which is always set by the system with the creation date of the article and does not necessarily match the desired entry – often some preparation time for new articles is needed. The tool allows resetting this date to mark the article as "New".
Delivery Country Window
(Available in module environment 3.14 to 4.4 and from 4.6)
This free "Goodie" included in our module environment activates an input query via a modal window to ask for the visitor's delivery country and save it based on the given answer as long as the visitor is not yet logged into a customer account. Colors, the size of the flags, and possibly a retention of the answer can be configured.
Alternative Tier Display
(Available in module environment 3.14 to 4.4 and from 4.6)
This free "Goodie" included in our module environment activates an alternative display of the tier quantity. Unfortunately, the shop generates a not very pragmatic display, e.g. "> 5 pieces". Our small tool changes this generation and instead produces "from 5 pieces".
Password Eye Function
(Available in module environment 3.14 to 4.4, from shop version 4.7.x.x part of the standard shop)
This free "Goodie" included in our module environment activates an eye icon in the password field of the login dialogs and then allows toggling by mouse click to display the plaintext content. This way, the visitor can check whether they mistyped during input. This function, which is nowadays actually standard on the internet, is thus retrofitted for the shop.
Tier Prices for Admins
(Available in module environment 3.14 to 4.4 and from 4.6)
This free "Goodie" included in our module environment copies the tier prices of the GUEST group to the admin group at the push of a button. This way, tier prices can now also be tested as an admin. Admins normally do not have tier prices because simply no input field was provided for this and the prices cannot be stored in group 0. The tool therefore simply copies these over to the admin group, making them usable.
Pre-fill SEPA Data
(Available in module environment 3.14 to 4.4 and from 4.6)
This free "Goodie" included in our module environment activates data pre-filling for the SEPA payment method, if used. For this purpose, the customer's historical data is searched for the most recently used SEPA data and pre-filled. This saves the customer from the rather annoying retyping of their bank details.
Product Deactivation by Expiry Date
(Available in module environment 3.14 to 4.4 and from 4.6)
This free "Goodie" included in our module environment activates a function that regularly sets articles inactive based on the expiry date possibly stored in the article master. If you want to use the expiry date in this way, you can link the automatic deactivation with our small tool.
Product Hider
(Available in module environment from 4.6)
This free "Goodie" included in our module environment activates an option to hide a product in the article master. With activation, the product neither appears in category lists nor in boxes or as a search result.
