When purchasing the usage license for modules, you can always book the installation service.
However, our modules can also be installed by yourself if you have the appropriate basic knowledge.
Please always observe the following notes, as they are binding information for the modules we offer.

System requirements for operating Xycons modules

The following requirements must be met for the installation and operation of our modules:

► at least PHP 8.1 or PHP 8.2 for the current version series - at least PHP 7.4 for versions from 3.14.x.x of the shop up to shop version 4.4.x.x

► Gambio shop version according to the compatibility list specified for the required module

► Availability of at least version IonCube 14 matching the PHP version used

Check with your hoster before installation the necessary system requirements, as only then is uninterrupted operation possible.
This applies in particular to the availability of the server extension IonCube in the correct minimum version. The possibly necessary installation of IonCube – if this extension is not present or not in the correct version – is not part of the scope of services of a possibly booked module installation and is usually carried out exclusively by the hoster.

Notes for shop updates when operating modules

When planning service packs or master updates for your shop, please note that the already existing modules, all installations not belonging to the standard shop, modules, and changes must be compatible with the respective (planned) shop version. If necessary, ensure that corresponding updates are also available for the modules and installations. This applies not only to Xycons modules but to all changes to the shop system that are not part of the shop standard version.

A shop with installed modules cannot simply be updated without appropriate consideration of the compatibility of the installations and modules. The compatibility list of our modules can be found on the respective module page. We support the currently "stabilized version," which can be recognized by an even second version digit (e.g., 4.6.x.x, 4.8.x.x, 5.0.x.x, etc.). Intermediate rebuild/feature versions (odd, second version digit: e.g., 4.7.x.x, 4.9.x.x, etc.) are not explicitly supported; in these versions, Gambio rebuilds the shop for the next master update, so these versions are usually not compatible.

The possibly necessary module updates for the latest stabilized master update of the shop are available to us with a delay after their release by Gambio.

It is advisable when using modules and installations not to immediately apply updates released by Gambio unless it is ensured that the installations are compatible with the newly resulting environment and shop version. Modules and installations always depend on the underlying and declared compatible shop version. Additional individual modifications of the shop system can also lead to the need to adapt the modules to the changed environment; please consider this for possible third-party or Gambio installations. Adjustments to installations not originating from the standard are special services and therefore chargeable.

Customers with booked shop maintenance do not need to worry about all this. We install the corresponding shop version and updates and also carry out the necessary updates of the existing Xycons modules as part of the shop maintenance.
